"2043. After a series of global retroviruses (commonly referred to as "the plagues") has wiped out 65% of the world's population, an alliance of pharmaceutical and bio-engineering companies has stabilized life for those who remain. Through drugs and surgical procedures earth's population survives, but its ability to remember past events has been seriously compromised.

Now these companies want to access the past and provide their clients with a logical and untroubled connection to something that will be called "history." They call their project Operation Time Cycle. For it to succeed, they need to find survivors who retain a neurological link with past events."

Four Drums is a digital media collective based in Providence, Rhode Island. Their feature-length project Switches is currently in pre-production and will begin shooting in January 2001.
